Non-Negligent cover refers to liability that is without fault. In other words accidental injury to an animal in your care.Pet Business Insurance offer optional cover for up to €15,000 for any one accident, or series of accidents, arising out of one original cause with €50 excess for each and every claim.
This type of insurance brings comfort to policy holders as more often than not any non-negligent harm arises where an animal in your care has been accidentally harmed in the course of service delivery, through no specific fault of your own or your business.
Note – This is different to Negligence or Negligent Harm which is “Any action or process that is seen to have caused harm as a result of lack of due diligence, lack of care, omission of duty or an act of carelessness towards a client or an animal in your care.”
Unfortunately non-negligent cover is not currently available for work with horses or farm animals.
